Do you like hot drinks? Try these 3 saffron-based recipes

In a cold winter day, nothing is better than having a cozy hot drink with your loved ones.

You can also serve these non-alcoholic drinks at your family gatherings.

All these saffron-based drinks can help you to take the chill off in winter or fall.

Spiced Orange Saffron Warm Drink

A drink full of warm spices can help you forget the cold weather outside. The combination of saffron, cinnamon, and orange juice can fill your house with an epic delicate warm aroma.

Prep: 30 min

Serving: 2

Instruction

  1. Add 2 tbsp hot water to a mug and soak saffron in it for 10-15 min.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the water, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves. Let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes on medium heat.
  3. After removing it from the heat, add in soaked saffron, lemon juice, and maple syrup (optional).

Ingredients

  • 1 generous pinch of saffron threads
  • star anise
  • 1.5 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice

*If you prefer sweet drinks, add maple syrup, honey, agave nectar, or sugar.

Simple Saffron Tea

A cup of saffron tea, with its fragrant aroma and golden color, can boost your mood and energy for some time. It is a good choice for a friendly gathering in a winter afternoon as a very unique drink.

Instruction

  1. Add 2 tbsp hot water to a mug and soak saffron in it for 10-15 min. /li>
  2. In a tea pot, add water and let it boil. Add in ginger and cinnamon or cardamom (optional) and let simmer.
  3. Pour in soaked saffron after removing teapot from the heat.
  4. You can add honey or sugar to make it sweet.

Ingredients

  • 1 generous pinch of saffron
  • 2 cups of boiled water
  • 1 tbsp ginger

*You can also add cinnamon or cardamom if desired.

Saffron Coffee

This is an absolutely great choice for coffee lovers. A caffeinated drink with saffron and milk. Isn’t it delicious?

Instruction

  1. 1. Pull two shots of espresso and pour it into the cup.
  2. 2. Steam your milk using a saucepan and whisk, or streamer. Your milk needs to be warm and frothy.
  3. 3. Top off your espresso with ¾ milk.

  • 2 pinch saffron
  • 4 shots espresso
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1.5 cup milk
