My sister recently opens a skin spa and we ordered 10 grams of their Persian saffron to use in our skin masks. The quality was so good and their saffron is natural and it has its magical advantages on our masks too. We Order 28 grams a month later and we are still using them for covering our saffron needs. Beside I got a free teabag with my 28 grams saffron which was nice and I really liked the saffron tea.

Got it for my wife, for the baby as she is pregnant and the doctor suggested the consumption. She loved their saffron quality and definitely we are going to go for more.

First of all, my wife and I have been cooking rice with saffron for decades , and we have determined that this is very high quality saffron. Secondly, compared to retail stores, it costs less than half of what we've paid for the same quantity. Thirdly, the metal storage tin keeps it fresh and very accessible, making it far easier to grab a "pinch" and add to rice. A little goes a long way. We will order again.

The saffron looks fresh and property dried. In my first use, only two strands of this saffron crushed in a mortar bowl and steeped in hot water for 2 or 3 minutes adds noticeable flavor to a food I added it to. The water turned yellow within seconds of adding it to the two crushed saffron strands. I'd guess the strands would easily steep without crushing them if you don't have a mortar and pestle bowl.

I knew about different benefits of Saffron and did a lot of research before I decided to buy it. After I've read a lot of positive reviews about this particular company I've decided to give it a try. I am glad I did! Excellent quality and great price - you can not bit that. I add a few threads to my chicken soup, rice, stew and my dinner looks and taste wonderfool. The most important thing for me is it helps me with my eye health and comfort. I make tea and drink it every night: about 6-7 threads and a cup of boiling water, cover and let it stand for about 10min. I add a little bit of honey to make it taste better. I am glad I found this company!

This is far better than any indian saffron available in the market. a must buy an this small little box will last you for a really long time. use a few strands each time and they give enough color to all foods and so much flavor.

I am using the saffron to recreate the wonderful basmati rice I've eaten with meals in Persian restaurants and I really like how easy this is to use. Just a few threads, ground in my little porcelain mortar and pestle, and then steeped in a little hot water is enough to flavor and color the rice just how I like it. Great product!

After reading reviews, I chose this brand of saffron, and I'm pleased I did. It looks to be high quality and a deep dark red. I use it to help heal macular degeneration. Research shows that 20 mg (10 threads) is beneficial for MD. The AREDS vitamin/mineral supps that many take for this condition have been proven not to work as intended. I'll have another eye exam in 6 months to see if there's any improvement.
Saffron is one of the highly prized spices known since antiquity for its color, flavor and medicinal properties and also can be used as a fabric dye. It is the dried "stigma" or threads of the flower of the Crocus sativus plant. It is a bulbous perennial plant that belongs to the family of Iridaceae, in the genus, Crocus, and known botanically as Crocus sativus.
The Crocus sativus plant grows to about 15-20cm in height and bears lavender colored flowers during each season which lasts from October until November. Each flower features perianth consisting of a stalk, known as “style,” connecting to three “stigmas” or threads to the rest of the plant. These red-yellow colored stigmas along with the "style" constitutes "saffron" which is used as condiment spice. Saffron has been the world’s most expensive spice by weight for decades. It takes 150,000 flowers to make 1 kilogram of saffron.
Good saffron crop production demands cool dry climate with well-drained rich fertile soil and irrigation facilities or sufficient amount of rain fall. The flowers are generally harvested during the early-morning hours and soon their stigma separated, allowed to dry, and packed for marketing. Saffron has a distinct flavor that comes from chemical compounds in it such as picrocrocin, and safranal. It also contains a natural carotenoid chemical compound, crocin, which gives saffron its golden-yellow hue. These traits along with its medicinal properties make it a valuable ingredient in many cuisines worldwide.Pure Weight | Pure Wieght 1.00 Ounce (28 Grams) |
